My XBOX 360 experience has been very frustrating. Besides three consoles failing me, I have also had a terrible experience with customer service. Here's what happened:
After I had received my "repaired" console from Microsoft I put in my brand new game to play. It was Grand Theft Auto IV. I had played a little bit but wanted to put in Halo III the ODST but the disc tray wouldn't open. I tried every thing. I looked online and looked for a resolution. Nothing worked for me and so I had to send the console right back to xbox. This time with my new disc in the tray. I put a big note with big letters at the very top of the box so they would see it as soon as they opened it.
Weeks later when I finally get my console back I see that they sent me another one. And of course my game was not in the box. I called in and emailed and I was told I had to wait 5 to 15 days more before anyone could do anything. Then after the 5 - 15 days of not having my game after having the console repaired twice, I call microsoft xbox division. After spending a total of about 2 hours on the phone and three different calls, three different days, a week later I get a call from someone with a very heavy mexican accent telling me that my game was never found and I have no recourse but to sit quietly having my game stolen from me.
Because that's exactly what they did. The workers there STOLE my game from me and reported that they never received it. Even though I sent the console in with a BROKEN DISC TRAY. Let it be known that whoever microsoft has working for them they are not honest people. And everyone I spoke with had very heavy mexican accents.
Here's what I suggest. DON'T BUY XBOX 360. They have nothing but problems and then if you have a problem like I had you have to spend a lot of time getting frustrated dealing with them all. But a Nintendo Wii or a Sony Playstation. Do NOT get xbox 360!!
Thank you,
Tom Richards
